How to set the set screw in my refrigerator thermostat? It stays on too long, and then It cuts back in too?

soon. My food is starting to freeze in the refrigerator! So when the fridge cuts out and i think it's all good, it cut back on too soon and the compressor clicks in and out because it has not had enough time to start properly.
